Social Studies Courses

   
  Nerinx requires 3 credits in Social Studies for graduation. Freshmen take 3 quarters of World History with a western orientation. Sophomores select three quarter courses from the following non-western offerings: Asian history, African history, Middle East history, and Russian history. Juniors are required to take one year of U.S. history, with an honors level course being an option. Seniors must take a semester course in American Politics, also with an honors course as an option.
   
  Elective offerings include courses in the Holocaust, Eastern Cultures, Economics, and Psychology, and Western Civilization.
   
  Advanced Placement Credit or College Credit courses offered are: American Politics, Eastern Cultures, U.S. History Honors, and Western Civiliztion.
